Things To Do in Chicago

I’m off for a weekend getaway to the Windy City and I’m wondering. …

Will I be singing like Frank

This is my kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of people too
People who smile at you

And each time I roam, Chicago is
Calling me home, Chicago is
Why I just grin like a clown
Its my kind of town

My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of razzmatazz
And it has, all that jazz

or Jim Croce?

Well, the south side of Chicago
Is the baddest part of town
And if you go down there
You better just beware
Of a man named Leroy Brown

Now leroy more than trouble
You see he stand bout six foot four
All the downtown ladies call him treetop lover
All the mens just call him sir

And its bad, bad Leroy Brown
The baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder than old king kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog

I’ve got my route mapped out for things to do in Chicago. I’ll go to the jazz clubs and perhaps get Diana Krall tickets. We’ll take an architectural cruise with Wendella Boats and go to the Lincoln Park Zoo.

There are two popular piano bars where we’ll get a chance to sing both of our Chicago songs. The Redhead Piano Bar is on Ontario Street (between State & Dearborn) and Jilly’s on Rush Street was called “My favorite bistro” by Frank Sinatra. I can hardly wait!
